Soothing, demulcent. Roots are full of mucilage, cooling and good for healing irritated mucous membranes. Urinary tract, respiratory tract, digestive tract. excellent as tea, extract, lozenge, herbal wash, balm, poultice.
Can actually be used to make homemade marshmallows.
Plant with other moisture loving herbs like boneset, blue vervain, valerian, skullcap.
